An established and reputable construction contractor with a strong regional presence is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join their expanding team in Manchester. With a secured pipeline of work in the local area spanning the next four years, this role offers stability and the chance to contribute to a variety of interesting projects.
The initial project will be a 14-month refurbishment of an education facility located in Manchester due to soft launch in June.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Managing and coordinating site teams, including direct labour, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Liaising effectively with clients, stakeholders, and the project management team.
- Proactively identifying and resolving any site-related issues.
- Ensuring the quality of workmanship meets the required standards.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally with a strong track record in delivering similar new build or refurbishment projects.
- A thorough understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage and motivate site teams effectively.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS).
- A proactive and results-oriented approach.
Benefits:
- Base salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Car allowance of £4,500 per annum.
