Site Manager

Silvertown, London

Rate Negotiable

Linsco are currently recruiting for a site manager to start on a 12 month heat network/district heating project in Silvertown, London Start date 2nd Jan 2024.

The Site Manager to oversee and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion. The Site Manager will play a critical role in coordinating on-site activities, managing project teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and leadership.

  • Experience in district heating installation would be good but not entirely essential.
  • Deep Water/drainage experience
  • Experience installing service/drainge in highway / city centre environment
  • Trench work upto 3m - temporary works sheets and whalers
  • Someone who can commute to the job on a daily basis
  • First aid trained.
  • Temporary works training (TWS or TWC would be good).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Procurement/Ordering of materials
  • Complete Site health and safety paperwork to the highest standard.
  • Good record keeping.
  • Willing to work as part of a team and report to the senior leadership team.
  • Be able to produce RAMS. Implement and manage the safe systems of work.
  • Be confident in briefing the workforce daily and set multiple resource gangs to task.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labour, plant and materials.
  • Experience with temporary works associated with trench work and deep excavations.
  • Beneficial to have Temporary Works Supervisor or Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
  • Beneficial to hold NRSWA Supervisor certification.
  • Ensuring the statutory requirements of CDM and other HSE legislation are adhered to and always followed.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
  • Commercial awareness to capture change - ie EWN's
  • Adhere to project specifications and quality standards.
