Solar PV Electrician - Service & Maintenance
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Provided: Van, Fuel Card, PPE

Are you an ambitious electrician with experience of working within solar? Our client are a forward thinking renewable energy company that specialises in solar PV and low-carbon heat pump installations. As a result of some strong recent growth, they're looking for experienced Solar PV Electrician to join their Service & Maintenance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced service & maintenance electrician to join this increasingly important sector and work as part of a supportive and growing team.
This permanent position is well suited to an individual with existing experience in installing, servicing and maintaining domestic and commercial renewable energy systems, namely solar PV.
Role and responsibilities:
- Servicing of both ground-mounted and roof-mounted solar panel systems
- Fault finding on a range of solar PV installations
- Carrying our maintenance and repair work on commercial and domestic solar PV and other renewable energy installations
- Face to face customer communication during service & maintenance visits
- You must have good communication and social skills and be happy to travel to multiple locations - a driving licence is essential
Key requirements:
This job role is open to a fully qualified engineer. Some of the below qualifications are not essential but highly advantageous:
- Driving licence
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Experience of installing Solar PV systems
- Experience of servicing and carrying our maintenance and repairs on solar PV systems
- Experience of installing battery storage systems would be useful but not essential
Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations or equivalent (essential)
- Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391)
- IPAF or working at heights equivalent (advantageous)
- Health & Safety or First Aid qualifications (advantageous)
