Site Engineer - Site Team (Leicester Area)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time
Location: On-site (Various East Midlands)
Schedule: Monday to Friday

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established and respected Civil Engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced and driven Site Engineer to join their site team in the Leicester area. This role offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, working across a range of civil engineering projects and playing a key part in their successful delivery on site.

As a Site Engineer, you will be heavily involved in the day-to-day engineering and setting-out activities, working closely with site management, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Managing quality control, inspections, and ensuring works meet required standards
  • Producing and maintaining site records, including as-built information
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Assisting with short-term planning and resolving technical issues on site

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks projects
  • Strong setting-out experience using GPS, total station, and associated equipment
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant engineering software
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, specifications, and industry standards
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a site team
