Overview
Our client is a leading construction company known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a temporary role for 1 -2 weeks to oversee the construction of a 28 story student accomodation building. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company.
Key site engineer responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to plans and specifications
- Conduct site surveys and set out construction works according to plans
- Oversee and supervise site operations, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Co-ordinate with the site manager to ensure smooth project progress
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed site records
- Provide technical advice and solutions to construction challenges
- Perform quality control checks and ensure work meets the required standards,
Requirements
- Reinforced concrete and shuttering experience
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD and surveying instruments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
