Quantity Surveyor

Up to £50,000 plus Car or Car Allowance
Summary:
Linsco are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on a Refurbishment and New Build Contract for a client of ours in the Shropshire area. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of commercial services on multiple sites and will also carry out estimating and subcontractor management
Key Responsibilities:
- Pricing of building construction works, with focus on refurbishment, fitout and new build
- Working with director and project manager on pre-construction and tendering stages
- Carrying out estimating activities
- Management of supply chain partners
- Management of Defined Cost and pain/gain trackers
- Preparing subcontract documents and procure subcontract packages
- Assessing and processing subcontractor payments and liabilities
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive knowledge of refurbishment, fitout and new build projects
- Proven experience working for a main contractor within Construction
- Robust experience and understanding of NEC and JCT Contract forms
- Engagement with clients, subcontractors, stakeholders, local authorities and third parties
- Advanced user of MS Office, with particular experience in Excel/Project
