Brickwork Manager/ Supervisor

Shrewsbury

Rate Negotiable

Linsco are currently recruiting for a site manager in the Shrewsbury area. Project to start end of May/ June 2024 and will run for 30 weeks.

  • Roles & Responsibilities

    • Extensive Brickwork Knowledge Is Essential & previous management of brickwork packages also essential
    • You would be Responsible for the overall management and supervision of the project that you are working on.
    • Liaising with the main contractor on a day to day basis
    • foreseeing any risks and mitigating any issues that arise.
    • Forward plan work activities & Logistically coordinate works with other contractors on site in order to meet specified programme requirements.
    • Responsible for placing material orders and monitoring build costs with contracts manager & managing director
    • Preparing programmes and sequencing onsite tasks, setting out targets with workforce
    • Attend on-site meetings with the main contractor as and when required
    • Daily problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise on site
    • Have technical experience working with all aspects of masonry works & be competent in setting out.
    • Carry out daily activity briefings with workforce and motivate at all times
    • Monitor and record progress on site, attending weekly meetings with the main contractor and senior management for updates on the project you are working on.
    • Ensuring that all work activities are being carried out safely in accordance with RAMS
    • Ensure that high quality standards of work are carried at all times, by routinely performing QA checks on site & visually keeping an eye on work.
    • At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions

    Experience / Qualifications

    • SMSTS / SSSTS
    • Bricklaying background (essential)
    • CSCS card
    • 1st Aid
    • Computer proficient - Word, Excel, Emailing etc
