Senior Project Manager

Avonmouth

Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance

Summary of Role:

Responsible for the execution of a project (often a major project), leading and managing the project delivery team. Key aspects of the role are to build and develop the project team, manage the relationship with the Client, and be responsible for the day to day delivery of the project in terms of cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, environment, stakeholders

Aim to maximise profit whilst endeavouring to exceed all client expectations acting as the senior site representative on medium to large sized projects. They will often be responsible for one or more project managers heading up a significant section of work.

In the senior site representative function they are ultimately responsible for the resourcing, development and leadership of a team, defining and communicating project objectives and constraints and complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, thereby delivering the end product on time, within budget and to the agreed quality.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Management of designers, including direction for the design manager
  • Production of information required schedules & subsequent monitoring
  • Ensure dissemination of information to relevant parties
  • Build working relationships with peers and colleagues in. Willing to foster knowledge sharing, learning and development, collaboration across projects and sectors
  • Understand what BIM is, understand the implications and value proposition of BIM within the organisation
  • Ensure materials, plant and sub-contractors are procured to meet targets
  • Ensure appropriate quality is achieved on the project
  • Ensure that the works are undertaken in accordance with all HS&E legislation, and the site Health Safety and Environmental Plans.
  • Review Health & Safety and investigate incidents, providing summary and recommendations
  • Maintain & develop overall strategy for the project
  • Develop plans to achieve specific goals
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams
  • Review project plans with Contracts Manager on Monthly basis

CSCS: Valid CSCS required

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications required

Relevant Experience: Experience in similar role required
