Senior Engineering Manager (Facilities Management)

£68,000 to £75,000 plus car/allowance

Linsco are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineering Manager for a Facilities Management Contractor client of ours in the West Midlands area, who will be working within a healthcare environment. This is a permanent position for the successful candidate.

The Senior Engineering Manager will be Leading all of the engineering aspects on multi-disciplinary projects in a hosiptal/healrthcare environment to ensure that the optimal solution is delivered to meet the client's requirements. The role is expected to be to act as a voice of reason, often taking responsibility for safety critical aspects of the work and ensuring delivery to engineering principals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops a good working knowledge of each project and organisations structure but ensuring project management is directed to the on-site management delivery team.
  • Able to recognise and record changes in design and maintenance information. Able to instigate changes in maintenance or design philosophy's when required.
  • Make effective use of document control to optimise distribution of information.
  • Leads and collates the output of knowledge share events.
  • Engages to provide specialist engineering advice to the benefit of project teams.
  • Advises on development of engineering methodology to ensure optimal engineering solution is reached.
  • Monitors progress of project works to review impact of changing conditions on agreed methodology, design, maintenance, life-cycle, etc.
  • Effectively manages design team hours / site reporting where input is required.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Highly experienced chartered engineer, who has time served formulating maintenance and operational strategy ideally in a Healthcare, NHS or PFI environment.
  • Minimum Level 7 qualification in building services, with a M&E bias.
  • Membership Level CIBSE, IHEEM, Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
  • Minimum IOSH
