Temp to Perm Opportunity

Time served and must be used to managing engineers and large installations.

Phoenix Network Communications are currently recruiting for a Data Cabling Installation Engineers to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will involve the Installation of Fibre, Voice and Data cabling within Commercial, Finance/Banking, Government, Education, Healthcare & Listed Buildings.

Your primary responsibilities will include but are not restricted to:

  • Installing, maintaining & coordinating cabling operations for clients
  • Installation of Data Networks.
  • Terminating and testing of data and voice cables and completing to the highest standard.
  • Relocation of IT equipment.
  • Data network fault finding and resolution.
  • Access point fittings, patching and cabinet changes.
  • Fitting security equipment i.e CCTV, Access Control, Intercom
  • Offering a professional customer service to all clients and being a positive representation of the company.
  • Taking responsibility for running a job and using initiative where required.
  • General Operative Duties
  • Flexibility is essential to the role, varied working hours and frequent travel throughout the nation.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Competent in the structured cabling installation of Cat5E UTP/STP, Cat6 UTP/STP & Cat6A UTP/STP Structured cabling
  • Able to terminate and test cables within patch panels and data outlets.
  • Competent in the fibre cabling installation of multimode and single-mode fibre cables
  • Competent in the installation of floor mounted and wall mounted data cabinets/racks within comms rooms.
  • Competent in patching out data cabinets as per client's spreadsheets.
  • Customer focussed individual with a proactive approach to working.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Able to terminate fibre cables within fibre panels/fibre boxes using Fibre Splicer or Hot Cured/Crimp terminations.
  • Competent in the voice cabling installation of multimode voice cabling.
  • Full Clean Driving licence would be preferred
  • ECS Grade Card preferred
