Pre-Construction Manager

Suffolk

Rate Negotiable

Linsco are currently recruiting for a Pre-Construction Manager for a client of ours in the Suffolk area. Working primarily on small construction projects on a MOD contract up to the value of £12m. The role will be site based and the successful candidate will be responsible for all matters relating to pre-construction for several construction and additional works projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the senior Pre-Construction manager.
  • Advise designated and specific project design team members including client organisations on Health and Safety risk management matters, to carry out duties as Principal Designer in accordance with CDM regulations.
  • Undertake all principal designer duties as defined by the Construction Design and management Regulations 2015.
  • Assist and provide support and advice to the project team to facilitate best practice standards both in the design and the delivery of projects.
  • Review projects and designs as Principal Designer and advising on any other additional works project teams to ensure consistency in Pre-Construction Health and Safety matters and standards.
  • Collate, organise and assist the client in providing Pre-Construction Information, develop project risk registers and Pre-construction phase plans.
  • Direct liaison with Consultants and Contractor throughout design and pre-construction stage.
  • Working alongside the Site Management Team to create and implement Principal Contractor duties.
  • Working with the clients to generate a scope of works document ahead of tendering.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrate an ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate experience and understanding of design and construction management and methodologies.
  • Proven skills in the delivery of CDM services.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years working as a Pre-Construction manager or similar job role.
