Maintenance Technician

Brentford

Up to £45,000

Summary of Role:

  • To assist with day-to-day maintenance & to carry out other works for which the post holder is trained.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Work to and understand the requirements of HSE procedures.
  • Complete all works in a competent and compliant manner in accordance with the appropriate policy, specifications and HSE requirements (Inc the supervision of sub-contractors) and documents completed.
  • Ensure plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
  • Carry out reactive works to other site plant as required.
  • Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the key plant.
  • Ensure comprehensive maintenance records are kept within the Company
  • Ensure RAMS are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
  • To develop a good working relationship with all members of the Team as well as our client's staff and supporting suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensure a professional image of the Company is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted.
  • Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
  • Providing engineering innovation ref existing systems within the facilities
  • Ability to work as part of a team and able to organise and prioritise your workload
  • A willingness to develop the service provided and high level of flexibility to meet business requirements

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level Parts 1,2,3 or ONC/HNC or Equivalent in Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Additional qualifications to the core requirements would be of a benefit such as F- Gas, PASMA, L8, 18th Edition etc, etc.

Professional Membership:

  • Membership or interest in the IWFM or IET or another professional body would be of a benefit.

Relevant Experience:

  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship / training scheme and significant practical experience within relevant FM sector (essential & a minimum of 5 years post training).
  • Experience in working in a large corporate building with BMS, varied and diverse HVAC systems, Commercial & domestic water & drainage pipework systems, Air Handling systems, Pressurisation systems, Pumps, as well as all the associated mechanical systems and infrastructure expected in a large diverse building.
