Linsco are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer for one of our clients. The vacancy is full time and based from the head office in Telford.

Looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join their Purchasing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a base experience in purchasing or a building materials based role, who would like to progress and develop their Procurement Career. We offer a supporting and well-established team and will provide investment for the successful candidate to further their career in the construction industry. Full training provided.

The Buyer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the company procurement with raising purchase orders.
  • Data entry of figures into an EXCEL spreadsheet.
  • Ensuring the materials schedules are followed and reviewed.
  • Chasing and expediting deliveries.
  • Ensuring stock and inventory levels are maintained effectively.
  • Supporting the Buyer's in market research and benchmarking activities.
  • Liaising with suppliers and assisting in the resolution of any supplier queries / issues
  • Ensuring our supplier database is accurately maintained, with up-to-date pricing information, product specifications and supplier information.


Skills and Experience:

  • Previous base-line experience in either a Purchasing Administrator / Purchasing Assistant / Junior Buyer / Materials Controller / Materials Planner role
  • Passion and drive to process a career within Procurement
  • Confidence in liaising with and negotiating suppliers
  • Good analytical skills and Strong Excel, Outlook and Word skills.
