Construction Secretary (9 Month Fixed Term Contract)

My client is a successful housing developer who are now seeking a Personal Assistant/ Department Secretary to provide support to senior members of staff within the Construction department. This is an exciting position with a varied role on offer they are looking for a vibrant enthusiastic to join a small lively team. They are looking for someone who is looking for more than just an administration role.

Typical responsibilities of the job include:

  • Act as the point of contact
  • Receive guests to the office
  • Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately
  • Manage diary and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Produce reports, presentations and briefs
  • Arrange and facilitate the induction of any new recruits
  • Attend Management and Board Meetings and Take minutes
  • Assist with HR procedures and files
  • Ensure the smooth running of the office team, that all administration systems are updated and maintained accordingly

The successful applicant will have:

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • MS Office and English proficiency
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise daily workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Be an effective team player and have the ability to communicate clear and concise instructions
