Admin Buying Assistant

Summary:

Linsco are recruiting for

1 x Buying Admin Assistant - to start ASAP (interviews will be held before appointing)

  1. Location of where they will be based and if any WFH flexibility - St Johns House, Barrington Road, Altrincham, WA14 1JY, maybe WFH flexibility could be an option once fully trained.
  2. Duration of the job - Initially 3 month contract, which could possibly be extended
  3. Working Hours - 30-5 Monday - Thursday, 8.30-4.30 on a Friday

Description

We are looking for a temp to help out in our Buying Department, I have asked the Buyers what sort of experience/skills are required and what duties are going to be carried out, please see below:

  • A knowledge of COINS beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience of construction and buying preferred but not essential.
  • Must have an ability to work unsupervised when required following the appropriate level of training.
  • Previous use of Teams, experience of telephoning suppliers and use of emails essential.
  • Must be good at asking questions and querying what doesn't look correct.

Full training to be given in assisting the Buyers :

  1. Checking with suppliers the current lead-in times and adding this to the top of the orders.
  2. Amending purchase orders with the revised rates supplied by the Buyer using COINS. To be checked by the Buyer prior to printing.
  3. Collating all the necessary documentation and creating the revised order ready for signature by the Buyer / appropriate person.
  4. Issuing the order to the supplier and distributing to site following signature by the Buyer.
  5. Storing the revised order on Project Plus and Y drive.
  6. Ensuring the correct supplier contact / call off details are on Project Plus
