The Company:

We are currently searching for an Associate Development Director, for our client a highly successful housing developer that has experienced steady growth and has established themselves as a leading name in the Residential market. Their projects are all based in the Leicester area, making this a great opportunity for an individual in the area looking for a new opportunity. We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong track record in this role.

Role duties:

  • Set realistic targets for the development of all relevant staff and monitor progress against set objectives.
  • Assist the Land department during the procurement process, giving advice on design, cost and technical matters to ensure all development issues are addressed in outline at the outset prior to conclusion of the purchase process.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the Development function upon handover of projects from the Land department
  • Set realistic procurement programmes to determine construction starts, sales opening and selling periods.
  • Preparation, issue and revision / update of detailed working drawings.
  • Control the issue of drawing packages, and the programme of working drawing production (both Architectural and Engineering).
  • Settlement of the Construction Budget and programme, monitoring all Developments through a thorough review of development co-ordination checklists on a regular basis.
  • Management of the relevant Development Budgets and programme information in line with the system at all times.
  • Management of the development through its construction and selling periods, including regular site development meetings.
  • Assist the Legal department / appointed Solicitor as required with technical / development detail in response to legal enquiries.
  • Ensure the Development Team are complying with their personal, office and site responsibilities.
  • Maintain the principles of Investors in People.
  • Support the Group Environmental Policy.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
  • Ensure Project Completion Reports are completed and concluded.
  • To undertake any other duties as deemed necessary from time to time.
  • Liaison with the Legal department / appointed Solicitor to ensure all relevant documentation is available at the requisite time

To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid
  • Have excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Must be computer literate
