Housing sector remains strong

Healthy first six months of 2017

We are pleased to announce that on the back of an exceptional year to March 2017, our business has remained strong and profitable throughout the first six months of our financial year 2017.

We are on track to exceed the results of the previous twelve months, predicting a growth of 6% on the same period at year end.

Year to date we have achieved a £ 13.8m turnover, with what we consider a relatively steady start to the year, getting better every month.

Our growth has come from an ever expanding client base, along with great success in the housing market both on the temporary and permanent aspects of our business.

The housing market has been bolstered by the governments commitment to additional funding and infrastructure plans to enable them to meet the required levels of affordable housing. This in turn has led to our housing colleagues experiencing high demand for site management and drivers in this field, both permanent and temporary positions.

Despite recent press regarding the slowdown of the construction market, we have felt a reverse to that trend in the demand for a reliable and trustworthy labour service and have seen an upturn in requests for staff within facilities management & civil engineering too.

In the news we have also witnessed a few failures within the industry with some well named companies forced into administration by pressures from the contract supply payment chain. We have been fortunate enough not to be affected by these circumstances, and remain consistent in our aged debt, ensuring that all our clients remain loyal to their agreed terms and have all accounts well insured should the inevitable happen.

Moving forward as we approach the traditionally slower period of winter where external factors such as weather and workable hours can affect the level of business, we are targeting the FM and shopfitting markets to enhance our internal workforce should we experience adverse conditions that may affect income.

The advent of GDPR next year is also on the radar, and preparation is well under way with a major cleanse operation of our current database of clients, candidates & contracts. Our website portal will be more compliant with the demands of this regulation, along with the publication of our mobile application on the App Store and Google Play to enhance our user experience.
